Visitation and Vigil

There was a great turnout last night and we really appreciate you coming out. There was a steady flow of people from beginning to end. Broussards felt like around 500 people were there. Dad would have enjoyed visiting with all of you. The flowers were also beautiful. We especially liked seeing his fire uniform. We had never seen any of that. Last night during the vigil Gary said my dad never boasted and that is true. I never even knew he was captain until I saw his helmet. I also never knew about most of the award he won. To us he was just dad and he never talked about all of that stuff.

Also, we found the link to the article about my dad and I thought I'd share it with you. Just copy and paste this into your browser.

  1. God Bless You and your family in these great times of need. There will be many that cannot make the services because they have to work I am one but I just wanted to let you no that we are thinking of ya'll and you are in our prayers. Mark was a friend of many and a true leader. I had the great pleasure of serving with him the last 7 years on the Fire,EMS, and Hazmat teams and last 2 years is union bussiness and he will be greatly missed by all of us. He cannot be replaced but will live on in our hearts and memories forever. We lost a loved on last June 28 to breast cancer and I don't think the wounds will ever heal but stay strong and ya'll will be in our prayers. Also I just wanted to thank you for the great job you did on keeping us posted on Mark's status the last few weeks you did a great job and should be proud. Thank you GOD BLESS
